Hi, I'm Ashley! I am a mother of 3 wonderful boys and I live on a small hobby farm in Colchester. My passion for all things birth came after the birth of my third son. It was innate, powerful, primal... It was beautiful! It was also a stark difference between my first two births which were marked by fear, pain and uncertainty. This lit a fire in me. Every woman has the right to a nurturing and empowering birth. The way you birth matters! My approach can best be described as ancestral feminine wisdom meets modern medicine. I'll help you connect to your innate power; your feminine wisdom while providing modern evidence based information. Prenatally, we will explore birthing preferences, comfort measures/pain management, laboring and birthing positions and more. During labor and delivery, I will give continuous physical, emotional and informational support to you and your birth partner. I will also help your birth partner to feel confident in giving you the support you need. Postnatally, I offer two home visits offering support in newborn care, breastfeeding and postpartum adjustment. If this is something you are interested in, please reach out. I would be honored to support you!

Liz (she/her) is a mother, writer and doula. With a background in psychology and previous work in addictions, HR, and mindfulness, she has a unique toolkit for prenatal, perinatal and postnatal care. She is fascinated by each unique experience of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and by the cultural pressures put on new parents during these times. She loves to cultivate deep awareness and understanding of each unique parenthood journey, and is passionate about supporting people in understanding and writing their birth stories. An attentive listener, insightful thinker, and warm hugger, Liz adores the profound connections she gains with families.
Quynne discovered a passion for pregnancy, childbirth, and nurturing new families at a very young age. Even as a child of eight, she found herself enamoured by the midwives who cared for her pregnant mother. These early experiences ignited a deep-seated desire to support others through the journey of birth and postpartum care. Quynne brings a nurturing, vibrant, and versatile approach to pregnancy, birth & postpartum support.

Hi, I am Kari! I am a wife and mother of 4. My passion for birth work started when I had the privilege of being invited into the birthing room with multiple family and friends. Along with having our own children, it was the most incredible experience. Struck with awe to see the miracle of life unfold in front of my own eyes and to be able to support and encourage these women through it , lit a fire in my heart . I never imagined that I would be able to live this dream. Now as my children are getting older and we are in a different season of life, I am thrilled to begin a new journey to support women and their families in one of life's most memorable moments. I have come to respect how a woman’s body is created to conceive, grow, protect and birth a thriving healthy baby. It is truly incredible to see the courage, strength and endurance a woman draws from through the stages of labour and birth with the right support. Let's chat about your birth desires and needs!

I am pursuing my passion of supporting folks through their prenatal, birth and postpartum stages of life. Having had twins and being the president of the Parents of Multiple Births Association (POMBA) has inspired me to focus most of my business on parents of multiples who seem to have to think about a few more strategies to survive the 4th trimester than what singleton parents do. I have a wealth of knowledge about everything prenatal which also means that I do not limit my services to multiples. I pride myself on offering a tailored experience based on your own needs by offering you a chance to make the best informed decision that fits your preferences. Being based out of East Hants, I offer support locally or in neighbouring areas of Halifax or Truro.

Wanda Cox began her journey as a birth doula in 1999, after she learned of the positive impact they can have on birth outcomes- both physically & emotionally! She knows that being; listened to, central in decision making, and well supported goes such a long way! Despite her formal training, the families she serves remain her best source of learning and appreciates that the needs of each family are truly unique. Wanda loves supporting families all over the Atlantic Provinces (and beyond) by teaching Evidence Based Birth® childbirth classes- virtually! Wanda is a Lactation Educator (CAPPA), Certified Infant Massage Instructor and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Instructor. Connect to see how she can support you along your journey.
